The Public Health Foundation (PHF), a national, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the public's health by strengthening the quality and performance of public health practice, is seeking a full-time IT Project Manager for TRAIN, its proprietary Learning Management System (LMS). TRAIN provides thousands of quality training opportunities to more than 4 million professionals who protect and improve the public's health.
As an IT Project Manager, you will be a primary liaison between PHF, TRAIN affiliate partners, and TRAIN's technology partner. Your focus in this role will be to ensure transparent communication for and on-time delivery of software development initiatives and integration management projects through the creation of project timelines, regular status reports, documentation, and other standard artifacts. In addition, you will verify that projects meet grant and cooperative agreement obligations and adhere to federal or state contract terms.
To be successful, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communication, IT, or related degree
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
- Minimum 3 years of managing small to mid-size projects
- Exceptional customer service skills, focus, and commitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
- Able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with competing priorities

- Google Analytics
- Web service integrations
- Federal and state governement contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements
Your responsibilities as the IT Project Manager will include:
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, internal teams, and the technology partner to ensure team actions remain in sync
- Define and manage project scope in collaboration with appropriate partners and staff
- Make effective decisions for how to progress with projects when presented with multiple options
- Create detailed long- and short-term project plans, identify the activities needed to complete projects, set targets for milestones, and adhere to deadlines
- Identify project risks and issues and work with the technology vendor to mitigate known risks and address issues as they arise
- Communicate both internally and with external stakeholders regarding the status of ongoing projects under your purview
- Ensure timely submission of business requirements, user manuals, training materials, and other necessary information from project team members to keep projects on track
- Continually seek improvement in internal processes
- Perform other duties and contribute to ad hoc projects
