CDC Webinar – Vaccinating Adults with Chronic Conditions: Recommendations and Lessons Learned
Webinar Held: Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 3-4pm EDT
It is especially important for adult
s with chronic health conditions to be up-to-date on recommended vaccinations as they are at increased risk for complications from certain vaccine-preventable diseases. Especially in these challenging times, patients rely on healthcare professionals (HCPs) to advise them about important measures to protect their health—and an HCP recommendation is the strongest predictor of whether adults get vaccinated.
This webinar featured two physicians discussing vaccine recommendations and strategies for increasing immunization rates among adults with chronic conditions such as heart disease, lung disease, and diabetes.

- Explain why vaccines are important for adults with chronic conditions
