How can an organization leverage the public health accreditation process to spark creativity, innovation, and further staff involvement in performance improvement efforts? How does an organization move beyond aligning its performance management system and quality improvement efforts with accreditation standards, and move toward a full culture shift?

The Public Health Foundation hosted the webinar Tackling Big Challenges with a Full QI Culture Shift on June 19, 2018 from 3-4pm EDT, which highlighted how the Springfield-Greene County Health Department (MO) tackled these big challenges and revamped its Quality Council. The speakers discussed the health department's new performance management work, which takes a multifaceted and comprehensive approach to systematic quality improvement by integrating departmental performance management, health equity, strategic planning, and workforce development efforts (among other concepts) into a top down and bottom up approach.
