Quality Improvement Resources

Overview

Quality improvement (QI) is the use of a defined process (such as the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle) to analyze and improve processes and procedures to improve community health.

The benefits of QI can be best understood through application tools and examples. PHF provides resources and tools, including case studies, white papers, and examples that teach individuals and teams how to apply basic principles.

The QI Quick Guide consists of a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Tutorial, a Quick Quiz, and tailored resources. The Quick Guide was revised and updated in 2017.
