The National Public Health Performance Standards (NPHPS) is an assessment tool developed to measure public health infrastructure and capacity of public health systems. The assessment tool helps to identify areas for system improvement, strengthen state and local partnerships, and assure that a strong system is in place to respond to day-to-day public health issues and emergencies.
View three stories from Cherokee Nation, Florida Department of Health, and the Rocky Mountain Tribal Epidemiology Center to learn how the NPHPS has been used to improve the performance of the public health system.
