PHF Immunization Center

The Public Health Foundation (PHF) Immunization Center aims to improve the performance of individuals, programs, and organizations focused on increasing immunization rates in their communities. PHF’s immunization resources and tools can be used to support and equip the immunization workforce to engage today’s need to vaccinate communities.  

Our educational resources and tools include comprehensive training, toolkits, strategic communications workshops, and more. PHF collaborates with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other national partners to enhance educational outreach and advocate for the critical role of immunization in public health.  

Training for Vaccine Storage and Handling

PHF’s Immunization Center offers a comprehensive collection of educational videos on proper vaccine storage and handling protocol, designed to support and strengthen the immunization workforce.

Vaccine Expiration Date and Beyond-Use Date or Time Video Series 

This video series highlights the differences between vaccine expiration dates and the Beyond-Use Dates or Times.

Vaccine Storage and Transport Video Series  

This instructional video series demonstrates proper vaccine storage and transport protocols for both planned and unplanned situations, including how to identify qualified containers and packouts.

Vaccine Temperature Monitoring and Storage Equipment Videos

These instructional videos discuss proper vaccine temperature monitoring techniques, recommended storage equipment, and how to use a Digital Data Logger correctly.
