The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) convened for a meeting on February 20, 2025, from 2-3:30 pm EST. In this meeting Evette Brandon and Mia Luluquisen from the Alameda County Public Health Department (CA) shared how they are leveraging Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) funding to strengthen and expand their Academic Health Department (AHD) partnerships. Council representatives from the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE) and Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) provided an update on their organization's workforce development activities for the new year. Council on Linkages also provided updates on the Retention and Recruitment Learning Community, the AHD Learning Community, and the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies).
