The Public Health Foundation (PHF) is presenting two workshops,
Developing and Implementing a Successful Workforce Development Plan, at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting on Monday, October 29, 2012. The presentation sessions will be held from
8:30 – 10:00 AM and again from
2:30 - 4:00 PM at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. The morning session will be held in the Yerba Buena Ballroom (Salon 2) and the afternoon session in the Sierra H room of the conference hotel.
The workshop will focus on developing and implementing a workforce development plan, a requirement for Domain 8 of Public Health Accreditation and an important activity of any successful public health organization.
Ron Bialek, PHF President, and
Jack Moran, PHF Senior Quality Advisor, will help participants understand key elements and activities of a workforce development plan, the purpose of these activities, and resources that are available to accomplish these activities. Participants will also receive a workforce development plan worksheet that can be used within their organizations
