Start Date: 11/14/2011

End Date: 11/18/2011

Since 2008, Get Smart About Antibiotics Week has been an annual effort to coordinate the work of CDC’s Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work campaign, state-based appropriate antibiotic use campaigns, non-profit partners, and for-profit partners during a one week observance of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic use.

During November 14-20, 2011, the annual Get Smart About Antibiotics Week will be observed. Messages and resources for improving antibiotic use in healthcare settings from CDC’s Get Smart for Healthcare campaign will be included.

As a partner of CDC’s Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work campaign, Public Health Foundation (PHF) is proud to participate in this effort, and PHF will be offering a 20% discount on our related Get Smart materials on our Online Bookstore the entire month of November.  The materials help to answer questions about appropriate antibiotic use and explain the difference between bacteria and viruses.
