Downtown Atlanta, Georgia is the place to be August 8-10, 2012 for the National Association of Local Boards of Health (NALBOH) 20th Annual Conference Celebrating Achievements, Shaping the Future.  NALBOH is designed to provide you with information about past public health achievements, current public health priorities, and the role of governance in shaping the future of public health.
 
The Public Health Foundation (PHF) will be conducting a workshop and displaying resources in the exhibit hall at booth number 4 at this event.  PHF's President Ron Bialek, MPP, and Senior Quality Advisor Jack Moran, PhD, will be presenting Thursday, August 9th, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in Session 2.5:  Developing and Implementing a Successful Workforce Development Plana requirement by the Public Health Accreditation Board.  This interactive session will help participants:
  • Understand key elements and activities of a workforce development plan and its purposes, and the resources that are available to accomplish these activities. 
  • Understand and overcome the difficulties encountered in developing and implementing a successful plan
 
Visit our booth number 4 in the exhibit hall to explore our resources for quality improvement and workforce development to improve health outcomes.  We would love to talk with you and answer any questions that you may have.
