The National Association of County & City Health Officials (NACCHO) will hold its NACCHO Annual 2016 event at the Sheraton Grand Phoenix Hotel in Phoenix, AZ from July 19-21, 2016. This meeting is the year’s most concentrated gathering of local health officials, where attendees can gain valuable access to public health leaders from across the country. This year’s conference theme is “Cultivating a Culture of Health Equity.”
The Public Health Foundation (PHF) will be on-site to support local health officials with valuable guidance in our focus areas of performance management, quality improvement (QI), and workforce development. PHF will be conducting one sharing session and presenting many valuable resources and tools in the exhibit hall throughout the conference.
Sharing Session: Wednesday, July 20, 2016
How Does a Local Health Department Motivate Individuals in its Community to Make Personal Health a Priority?
Time: 1:30 – 3:00pm
This sharing session will explore the causes of why individuals do not make personal health a priority. PHF President Ron Bialek and Senior Quality Advisor Jack Moran will use quality improvement tools to help participants identify the forces that affect the extent to which individuals prioritize health and explore ways health departments can create an environment in which personal health becomes a priority. Please join us for an interactive and engaging conversation – bring your questions and the perspective from your health department.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 19, and continuing through Thursday, July 21, PHF will display resources and tools for local health officials at booth # 309 in the exhibit hall.
