NACCHO Annual 2012 - Navigating the Currents: Positioning Local Health Departments for the Future is being held in Los Angeles, CA, July 11-13, 2012.

In 2011 NACCHO had an interactive setting for local health officials and their public health partners for examining strategies, sharing ideas, etc.   2012 will find NACCHO wanting to reach the year's most concentrated audience of select local health department staff.  This years gathering offers valuable access to public health leaders from across the country.  It will prove a great opportunity to learn about breakthrough research and technologies, to meet and to network with colleagues and share ideas.

In the exhibit hall, the Public Health Foundation (PHF) will be on hand at booth #71 with information on preparing for accreditation; workforce development and to define and verify the process to be improved when improving health outcomes; and developing action plans to build a stronger workforce.  Please stop by and share your information with us and learn about the many tools and ideas PHF offers to other public health leaders.

PHF is also conducting a workshop, "Developing and Implementing a Successful Workforce Development Plan," on Friday, July 13 at 8:30am in the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.  To view more information about this event, click the "Download this File" link in the green bar above.

Also PHF wants to make you aware of TRAIN, the nation's most comprehensive learning resource for professionals promoting and protecting the public's health, and how TRAIN can assist in the public health accreditation process.

We would love to hear from you for any questions you may have or any comments you wish to share.  To connect with PHF before, during, or after this event, like Public Health Foundation on Facebook or follow PHF on Twitter.
