Join the Public Health Foundation and Riester for a webinar on how to thoughtfully plan, deploy, and use AI to strengthen public health systems.
May 5, 2026, from 1:00 – 2:15pm ET
Webinar Overview
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly reshaping how public health organizations analyze data, improve systems, design interventions, and deliver services. While AI offers powerful opportunities to strengthen public health practice, it can also introduce organizational disruption and, if implemented without care, lead to ineffective or even harmful strategies.
In this webinar, the Public Health Foundation and Riester will discuss the important planning and implementation steps prior to and following deployment of AI. Speakers will walk through a real-world immunization program example demonstrating how AI can be used to examine and project trends, integrate evidence with local context (such as cultural norms, demographics, and community narratives), inform strategy development, and recommend potential areas for process improvements and workforce training. This webinar also will explore how quality improvement and performance management methods can be paired with AI for selecting and improving public health strategies and interventions.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the planning steps prior to and after deploying AI in an organization
- Explain how AI can be used as a tool to improve a public health program
- Explore ways to use quality improvement and performance management to enhance what AI produces

Ron Bialek

Jack Moran
