Andrea Dayot, BSN, RN, Director of Occupational Health at Oregon Health and Science University, received an Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health (GOSH) Award for Innovation, recognizing her work in creating an idea, product, or concept that promotes a safer workplace.
Andrea’s innovation came in recognizing the importance of creating a training to equip healthcare workers with accurate information to safely administer COVID-19 vaccines to the public. Her comprehensive online training program resulted in safe and effective COVID-19 vaccinations being administered across Oregon and the nation.
In 2022, Andrea began working with the Public Health Foundation as a subject matter expert for PHF’s Immunization Program, bringing her unique perspectives from the field, including training over 1,000 vaccinators and implementing programs and policies in the State.
Andrea received her reward at the 2023 GOSH Conference in March.
