Public Health Quality Improvement Encyclopedia
PHF has developed a comprehensive encyclopedia of 75 quality improvement tools and an extensive glossary to assist health departments in fulfilling their missions, applying for accreditation, improving the health of their communities, and becoming more efficient and effective.

The Public Health Quality Improvement Encyclopedia
defines the purpose of each tool, explains what should be done after implementing each tool, and includes examples specific to public health settings.

PHF Announces 2013
"I'm Your Community Guide!" Contest Winners
PHF is pleased to announce the winners of the 2013 "I'm Your Community Guide!" Contest. The first place winner is Maricopa County Department of Public Health for their use of The Guide to Community Preventive Services (The Community Guide) in developing a county health improvement plan. Second and third place went to Sedgwick County Health Department for their Walktober and Getting the Drift community health interventions.

CDC's Winnable Battles are public health priorities with large-scale impact on health and with known, effective strategies to address them.
