Calling All Students! Help Shape the Future Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals

The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) is beginning the process of revising the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals and welcomes feedback from the public health and population health community to inform the revisions. Two upcoming town hall meetings will offer students of public health and other disciplines that contribute to population health an opportunity to share their thoughts:

DrPH Coalition Town Hall Meeting: February 16, 2021 from 1-2pm EST (open to DrPH students and alumni)

Town Hall Meeting for Students: February 24, 2021 from 1-2pm EST (open to current and prospective students of public health and other disciplines that contribute to population health)

Final Open Virtual Town Hall Meeting on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals

Haven’t yet had a chance to join the discussion on the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies)? As the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice begins revising the Core Competencies, your feedback will help ensure the Core Competencies continue to reflect the reality of working in public health and meet the needs of the public health workforce. Join a virtual town hall meeting on February 23, 2021 at 1pm EST to share your thoughts, submit your feedback online, or send your comments to competencies@phf.org. Feedback is welcome through February 28, 2021. Questions may be sent to Kathleen Amos at kamos@phf.org.
