Join the Council on Linkages for February 20th Meeting  

Join the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice for its next meeting on February 20, 2025, from 2–3:30 pm EST. Hear from Evette Brandon and Mia Luluquisen of the Alameda County Public Health Department (CA) as they share how they are using Public Health Infrastructure Grant funding to expand Academic Health Department (AHD) partnerships. Stay informed with updates on the Retention and Recruitment Learning Community, the AHD Learning Community, and the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals. Explore New Resources and Strategies for Retention and Recruitment in Public Health

The Public Health Foundation is excited to share the new Retention and Recruitment Toolkit. This new toolkit, developed in collaboration with the Retention and Recruitment Workgroup, an initiative of the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice, offers resources, tools, and practical strategies to improve retention, reduce recruitment needs, and build a diverse, skilled workforce. Call for Abstracts for APHA 2024 and APLPH Caucus Now Open

The call for abstracts for the American Public Health Association's (APHA) 2025 Annual Meeting and Expo is now open! This year’s theme is, "Making the Public’s Health a National Priority." The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH), in partnership with the Public Health Accreditation Board and the Public Health Foundation, invites submission of abstracts for sessions being sponsored by the Academic and Practice Linkages in Public Health (APLPH) Caucus. The Caucus provides a forum to explore and discuss innovative approaches and effective interventions that support practice, education, and applied research by building bridges between academia and practice. View session topics for the 2025 APLPH Caucus and submit your abstract by March 28th!
