Have you ever been part of a team or committee that seemed to make no progress and waste your time? If you have, you aren’t alone. Teams are most effective when the team leader describes the charge of the team and how the mission should be accomplished. The Delaware Division of Public Health has written many team charters to make sure their teams are effective and productive. PHF Senior Quality Expert Jack Moran, PHF QI Expert Grace Duffy, and Mike Rudis, Training Administrator with the Delaware Division of Public Health recently wrote an article for the Process Excellence Network titled Creating an Effective Team Charter. For more information on a Team Charter, you can download the book Applications and Tools for Creating and Sustaining Healthy Teams written by Jack Moran and Grace Duffy.
