Public Health Foundation (PHF) is proud to promote CDC’s Get Smart About Antibiotics Week from November 14-20, 2011, an annual effort to coordinate the work of CDC’s Get Smart: Know When Antibiotics Work campaign, state-based appropriate antibiotic use campaigns, non-profit partners, and for-profit partners during a one week observance of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic use.
As a partner of this effort, PHF is offering a 20% discount on related Get Smart materials on our Online Bookstore the entire month of November. The materials help to answer questions about appropriate antibiotic use and explain the difference between bacteria and viruses.
CDC’s Get Smart About Antibiotics campaign promotes adherence to appropriate prescribing guidelines among providers, decreasing demand for antibiotics for viral upper respiratory infections among healthy adults and parents of young children, and increasing adherence to prescribed antibiotics for upper respiratory infections.
