Lois Banks and Michelle Clausen along with Dr. Cynthia Harris and Sandi Brown from Florida’s Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) presented "Using Innovative Technology as a Tool to Recruit Minorities to Public Health Careers”at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 138th Annual Meeting and Exposition in Denver, Colorado on November 9, 2010. The Public Health Foundation was awarded a cooperative agreement from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop a project that would increase the access to public health study and career opportunities for minorities.
