The National Prevention, Health Promotion and Public Health Council, created by the Affordable Care Act, is requesting comments on the draft National Prevention and Health Promotion Strategy for the nation.  The Public Health Foundation is pleased that the draft strategy contains recommendations to build public health capacity.  In particular, PHF supports recommendations to:
Cross-train public health and healthcare professionals in multiple sectors  
Identify and implement strategies that are proven to work 
Strengthen capacity to effectively respond to outbreaks

The Draft Recommendations​ have been posted online.  Please submit comments about the recommendations by January 13, 2011 to: http://www.hhs.gov/news/reports/nphps.html​
