The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene launched the state’s new TRAIN Learning Network site – TRAIN Maryland. Maryland is the 27th state on TRAIN and the 30th overall affiliate (states, national organizations, or educational institutions who have purchased a customized TRAIN portal) to join the TRAIN Learning Network.

TRAIN Maryland provides access to workforce development trainings to improve competence and performance of public health workers throughout the state.

“Maryland is excited to bring the depth and breadth of the TRAIN learning community to our health department,” said Ann Walsh, Director of Performance Improvement at the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. “The TRAIN platform will allow us to better meet the needs of our employees and community partners.”

The addition of TRAIN Maryland indicates the growing interest that state health departments, public health training centers, educational institutions, and national organizations have with a comprehensive learning network. Through TRAIN’s collaborative network, thousands of quality e-learning modules and recorded webinars, in-person trainings, and curated training plans are available to learners through a single national platform. With over 1.5 million registered learners, TRAIN is the go-to learning network for professionals who protect and improve the public’s health.
