The Orange County Health Department in Florida and PHF have worked together over several years in order to improve public health for Florida residents.  Jim Pate, Manager of the Office of Strategic Planning at the Orange County Health Department, has recently led a quality initiative to create "Implementing a Quality Management System," demonstrating the process by which Orange County implemented quality improvement in order to streamline important processes. 

 

They initiated the Onsite Sewage Treatment/Disposal System Permitting Process Action Team II (PPAT), the HUG-Me Transition Project, the Immunization Data Project, the Billing Project, and the Training Project to ultimate success.  Read about the health departments' objectives and goals, approaches, processes, and tools in realizing and demonstrating improvements.
