Join the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) for upcoming webinars on Version 2022 of the Standards & Measures. Version 2022 will be available by early March. PHAB will be hosting two upcoming webinars to discuss the differences between Version 1.5 and Version 2022, considerations for making the decision about which version to use, and additional details about the extension process:

National Tribal Public Health Summit Call for Abstracts
Abstract Deadline: February 14, 2022

Presentation proposals are now being accepted for the National Indian Health Board’s (NIHB’s) National Tribal Public Health Summit 2022. The summit will be held virtually from May 9-12, 2022. NIHB encourages interactive presentations highlighting evidence-based, best, emerging, or promising practices, developed by Tribes for Tribes. Abstracts are invited in five topic areas: COVID-19 and vaccines; Tribal public health infrastructure, policy, and systems; climate change and environmental health; health promotion and disease prevention; and mental and behavioral health. 2022 Public Health Improvement Training Call for Abstracts
Abstract Deadline: February 15, 2022

Workshop and topic submissions are invited for the 2022 Public ​Health​ Improvement Training ​​(PHIT), to be held virtually from​ June 6-8, 2022. This year’s theme, ​Leading with Performance Improvement in Times of Change, highlights the adaptability and resilience of the public health performance improvement workforce. Workshops are sought in diverse content areas with an emphasis on “how to” and skill development. Learn more about this event and submit your abstract by February 15, 2022.
 
 
 
Apply to Host a Public Health Associate
Application Deadline: February 18, 2022

Applications are open for 2022 Public Health Associate Program (PHAP) host sites. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking exceptional sites to host an associate from October 2022 to October 2024. State, tribal, local, and territorial public health agencies; nongovernmental organizations; public health institutes and associations; academic institutions; and community organizations are encouraged to apply. PHAP is a paid CDC training program for early-career public health professionals that offers unique opportunities for recent college graduates to gain broad experience in the day-to-day operations of public health programs. CDC Evaluation Fellowship Applications Open
Application Deadline: February 22, 2022

The CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program is now accepting applications for the 2022 class, which is estimated to start on August 15, 2022. Fellows are master’s- or doctoral-level professionals with applied evaluation experience and are placed in host programs across the agency working on program evaluation activities. The Evaluation Fellowship offers a unique training opportunity to learn evaluation skills working in a host program while helping the host program build, expand, or improve its evaluation activities. 2022 Infectious Disease Peer Learning Community Grant
Application Deadline: February 25, 2022

NIHB is accepting applications for its Infectious Disease Peer Learning Community Grant. This grant will provide up to $15,000 to six Tribes and/or Tribal health organizations to use a community-tailored approach to create and facilitate peer learning communities to scale up and strengthen local preparedness for infectious disease outbreaks. The grant aims to assist with professional development and capacity building of the existing public health workforce to respond to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. In addition to increasing capacity, awardees may use funds to implement training activities that improve overall community health and healthcare professionals' ability to prevent and control outbreaks. Apply by February 25, 2022.

As part of its transformation and modernization efforts, the Public Health National Center for Innovations (PHNCI) at PHAB is recruiting states committed to intentionally transforming their governmental public health system, modernizing their data infrastructure, and advancing equity through policies and practice. Applications consist of an online application form and recruitment call to discuss the Learning Community and your state’s work. The online application form will be accepted on a rolling basis; however, to be eligible to participate in the spring 2022 kick-off meeting, applications must be received by February 25, 2022.
