This month, the Public Health Foundation (PHF) is taking The Guide to Community Preventive Services on tour to showcase its relevance to and highlight its recommendations on three popular public health topics: vaccines, community health, and nursing.

The Community Guide is a free resource to help you choose programs and policies to improve health and prevent disease in your community.  The Community Guide is the best place to find evidence-based recommendations and findings from the Task Force on Community Preventive Services, an independent, nonfederal, volunteer body of public health and prevention experts, whose members are appointed by the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Community Guide materials including bookmarks, topic-specific slide sets, and informational flyers will be available to conference attendees.  Attendees will also be able to enter the “I’m Your Community Guide” contest by sharing how they’ve implemented The Community Guide in their area.  The top three submissions will win meeting registration credit for one public health conference.
