Immunization Partner Network Update

August is National Immunization Awareness Month

National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is observed annually in August to recognize the importance of immunizations in preventing disease outbreaks and ensuring public safety. With the beginning of the school year on the horizon, it’s essential to highlight the vital role that routine immunizations play in protecting individuals of all ages. Join the Public Health Foundation (PHF) this August as we bring vaccine importance to the forefront and provide resources to assist healthcare providers and public health professionals in ensuring everyone is current on all routine vaccines. Learn more about NIAM.

New Online Training: Fostering a Culture of Immunization in Your Practice

Each clinical team member should be capable of providing patients, parents, and caregivers with clear and concise vaccine information during each visit. PHF, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), released a new online training, Fostering a Culture of Immunization in Your Practice, to help ensure health professionals take advantage of every opportunity to vaccinate. This interactive course provides practical strategies and resources to help create a positive culture of immunization in the workplace. Register for the course on the TRAIN Learning Network to complete and earn free continuing education (CE) credits.

Upcoming Pediatric Vaccination Video Series

Vaccines are essential to protecting children from illnesses as they grow. In August 2024, PHF, in collaboration with the Wellness Equity Alliance (WEA), will release a four-part video series to support pediatric vaccination. The series will provide healthcare professionals with tools and best practices to increase pediatric vaccination rates, reduce vaccine hesitancy among parents and caregivers, and promote equitable healthcare access and workforce development. Visit our website to learn more about the upcoming video series.
