Today the Public Health Foundation (PHF) launched the Immunization ID Contest.  This contest provides an opportunity to win a box of 16 copies of Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (“The Pink Book”), 12th Edition.

The contest is designed to encourage public health professionals to learn about the history of immunology and its major contributors.  The immunization recommendations and strategies in the Pink Book are based on findings that date back centuries and have been revised for today’s use among children, adults, and target populations. Current vaccine schedules and updated principles of vaccination are included in every edition of this comprehensive text.

Contest Entry Information
To enter the Immunization ID Contest, simply identify the four scientists that appear on the cover of the 12th Edition Pink Book and answer the following question to set your entry apart from the rest: How will you use the Pink Book to address the immunization needs of your community?

Email your scientist identifications, question response, and contact information to olivia@phf.org by July 31, 2011.  Please be sure to number your identifications according to the diagram at right.

Winner Selection, Prizes, and Technical Assistance
A winner will be selected from those who correctly identify the cover scientists to win a free box of 16 Pink Books. All entrants will receive 20% off their next purchase at PHF’s Learning Resource Center.

If you have questions, please contact Olivia Vandenbussche at (202) 218-4431 or olivia@phf.org.
