The ELI Fellowship empowers education and training professionals from health departments and public health organizations with the knowledge, skills, and resources to create quality e-learning products. Participants create an online training product, receive mentoring support from CDC and outside e-learning experts, collaborate with peers, and take part in virtual learning opportunities.

CDC and PHF encourage all those who are interested in enhancing their instructional design skills to:

  • Join the Health Educators and Learning Professionals (HELP) Community of Practice (CoP) on the TRAIN learning network. HELP CoP offers monthly educational webinars on a variety of public health topics such as creating interactive e-learning products. Learn how to add the HELP CoP to your TRAIN account.
  • Join the TRAIN Course Providers’ Listserv. The listserv is conversational and allows organizations and individuals offering training and educational opportunities through TRAIN to share information and resources, seek advice, and learn from the experiences of other providers using TRAIN
  • Review learning products and resources at the CDC Learning Connection
  • Access instructional design courses such as How to Create Section 508 Compliant E-learning with Lectora on TRAIN
  • Follow TRAIN on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest for updates on e-learning materials
  • Sign up to be notified when the 2018 application period is open.
