Health Departments are beginning to prepare and compile materials for the Public Health Accreditation Board's
voluntary accreditation program set to launch on September 14, 2011. The Public Health Foundation (PHF) has the tools to help health departments prepare for and successfully meet the requirements of
Domain 9: evaluate and continuously improve health department process, programs, and interventions. PHF works closely with state, tribal, local, and territorial health departments to help them evaluate their processes and make improvements using Quality Improvement (QI) methods and tools. Most recently, PHF provided technical assistance to
Minnesota to implement
Rapid Cycle Improvement (RCI).
PHF’s
QI Experts can tailor QI trainings to meet local needs. The
QI Learning Series Catalog offers numerous onsite training opportunities, including the following three courses to help health departments prepare for Domain 9:
- 210: Rapid Cycle QI Project Facilitation
- 211: Preparing for Domain 9
- 212: Preparing a Quality Plan
