Flu Season is Here - Are You Prepared?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that seasonal influenza activity has increased in the United States. The proportion of people seeing their healthcare provider for influenza-like-illness (ILI) has been at or above the national baseline for five weeks this season. CDC recommends that everyone six months and older get a seasonal flu vaccine. The flu vaccine can reduce the likelihood of flu illness, decrease doctor's visits and the number work and school days missed, and prevent hospitalizations. For more information, visit CDC's Influenza page and see a map of flu activity in your state .
