March 24, 2013 is the 31st anniversary of
World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. Sponsored by the
World Health Organization (WHO) and the
International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease (IUATLD), this day’s mission is to educate the public about the health and economic consequences of TB, its effect on developing countries, and its continued impact on global health. Great efforts have been made to control and cure TB. However, among infectious diseases, TB remains the second leading killer of adults in the world with 1.5 million deaths in 2010.

Facebook to make individualized action calls to stop TB in their lifetime.
