TRAIN, the nation’s premier learning resource for professionals who protect the public’s health, will be leading a roundtable discussion on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the American Public Health Association’s 140th Annual Meeting (APHA) in San Francisco, CA. Slated for 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, TRAIN: Helping the Public Health Workforce Do More With Less, will focus on how TRAIN is being utilized by local, state, and federal organizations to provide competency-based-training, learning information, resources, and training programs.  Additionally, this presentation will discuss the continued change in traditional education practice to online learning; the cost savings for learners and their agencies; and the importance of sharing learning information and resources.

 

Learning objectives for this session include:

  • Demonstrate the role of TRAIN in allowing access to quality education; and
  • Identify the importance of sharing education across an online platform (learning management system) for the learner, course provider and organization/agency.
