PHF’s newest blog post explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is helping local health departments work smarter, not harder, while highlighting the evolving role of public health professionals. The blog reviews three powerful ways AI is making an impact on public health teams: streamlining community health assessments (CHAs) and community health improvement plans (CHIPs), analyzing grant reports and unstructured data, and enhancing disease surveillance and risk modeling. Is Your State a TRAIN State?

Is your state an affiliate partner in the TRAIN Learning Network (TRAIN)? TRAIN affiliates can manage learning for their public health workforce – using TRAIN to upload, access, and disseminate training; streamline training administration and reporting; track course completions, continuing education credits, and transcripts; and support accreditation and certification needs. If your state has not yet joined, you can still benefit from TRAIN. Urge your workforce to register at no cost and begin taking trainings from the national catalog of over 4,000 courses to strengthen their public health competencies.

Find out if your state is a TRAIN state and taking advantage of all that TRAIN has to offer. To learn more about becoming a TRAIN affiliate or connect with your state’s TRAIN administrator, contact Mike Barry.
