The Public Health Foundation (PHF) has implemented several enhancements to the TRAIN Learning Network (TRAIN) to better serve learners and course providers. As your trusted source for accessing training and other learning opportunities, PHF is
committed to continuing to add enhancements to meet the evolving needs of TRAIN’s more than 4 million users.
One of the most exciting enhancements is the integration of the 2021 Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) into TRAIN. Learners can now search for, access, and complete quality trainings addressing the updated Core Competencies.
Another enhancement is to a learner’s “Your Learning” Hub. Learners have been provided with additional clarity regarding course and post-assessment completion status by being able to see passed or failed status for post-course assessments.
Learners and course providers also are benefiting from enhancements to assessments and evaluations in TRAIN. These have been simplified for users and made more user-friendly for course providers so that they can more clearly convey information to learners through standardized assessment and evaluation question types.
TRAIN has always offered many opportunities for learners to earn Continuous Education (CE) credits, and recently added a feature that enables learners to select more than one CE credit type when registering for courses that have been created with the multiple CE option enabled. This will allow learners to earn multiple CE types by completing a single assessment and evaluation if the course provider offers multiple CEs.
PHF is interested in hearing your feedback and ideas for additional TRAIN enhancements. Please post your ideas below or send them directly to Jennifer Harmon, [email protected].
