New River Academic Health Department (AHD Learning Community Presentation)

Overview

This archived webinar featuring Academic Health Department (AHD) Learning Community member Sophie Wenzel, MPH, focuses on the New River Academic Health Department, which is a partnership of the New River Health District and Virginia Tech's Department of Population Health Sciences. During this meeting, Ms. Wenzel discussed topics such as development of the AHD, the AHD Coordinator position, workforce development activities and Council on Education for Public Health accreditation, funding, student involvement, and joint research projects.
