Creating a Staged Model of AHD Development (AHD Learning Community Meeting Presentation)

Overview

This archived webinar introduces a staged model of academic health department (AHD) development, which is being drafted with the aim of better articulating how AHD partnerships might develop. This model illustrates the potential development of such partnerships on a continuum that has five stages, from informal relationships through comprehensive collaboration. During this webinar, AHD Learning Community Chair Bill Keck, MD, MPH, shared the current draft of this model, and Learning Community member Bryn Manzella, MPH, discussed how the Jefferson County (AL) Department of Health's AHD partnerships have evolved through the various stages illustrated in the model.

This one hour webinar was originally presented as the September 2017 AHD Learning Community meeting. Discussion among the presenters and participants that occurred during the live version of the webinar is captured. Watch the archived webinar, or download the presentation slides or draft staged model to learn more.

The draft staged model of AHD development is currently open for public comment, and feedback is being collected to help refine the model. Feedback can be sent to Kathleen Amos at kamos@phf.org.
