ASPPH Presents: Council on Linkages' Revised Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals - Applying the Core Competencies (Archived Webinar)

Overview

This archived webinar presented by the Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health and the Public Health Foundation (PHF) focuses on the revised Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) released by the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice in June 2014. Originally presented in January 2015, this 60 minute webinar provides an overview of the 2014 version of the Core Competencies, changes made in this version and how these changes address feedback from the public health community, and resources and tools available to support use of the Core Competencies. In addition, faculty from Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH)-accredited schools of public health describe how they use the Core Competencies in developing curricula for education in public health and designing external trainings for the public health workforce, and consider how competencies relate to accreditation.
