Practical Approaches for Zika Preparedness and Response (Archived Webinar)

Overview

This archived webinar, co-hosted by the Public Health Foundation (PHF) and the Bio-Defense Network, focuses on practical and replicable efforts being carried out by local health departments to prevent, prepare for, and respond to Zika. Originally presented in July 2016, this 60-minute webinar includes presentations from two local health departments who are addressing mosquito control and surveillance in their jurisdictions. Both of these health departments were part of the Vector Control Program Performance Assessment and Improvement Initiative, a collaboration between PHF and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to use performance improvement tools and methods to increase vector program efficiency, effectiveness, and capacity.
 
Presenters include Cheryl Clay, Senior Environmental Health Advisor, Madison County Public Health Department and James Sayers, Vector Control Supervisor, St. Louis County Department of Public Health. The archived webinar also includes additional resources and tools from PHF.
