Promoting Bivalent Vaccinations for Older Adults: Long-Term Care Provider Perspectives

Long-term care facilities have been a focal point of discussion during the COVID-19 pandemic due to the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on older adults. Rates of vaccination among residents and nursing home staff have varied dramatically by state, but remain low overall. As part of a two-part webinar series, this webinar highlighted success stories from providers who have been increasing bivalent vaccination coverage among residents and staff in long-term care settings.

The Public Health Foundation supported this Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Communities of Practice webinar orginally presented on February 9, 2023. This 60-minute webinar, moderated by CDC's State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Task Force, highlighted successful strategies to engage older adults, residents, and staff in long-term care settings. Speakers presented strategies in increasing bivalent booster uptake in their communities.
