PICK Chart
A PICK Chart is a visual tool used to rank projects by considering their level of difficulty (the amount of scarce resources required) and level of payoff (the improvement gain). Originally developed by Lockheed Martin for organizing process improvement ideas during the Identify and Prioritize Opportunities Phase of a Lean Six Sigma project, the acronym stands for Possible, Implement, Challenge, and Kill.
Developed by Public Health Foundation (PHF) Senior Quality Advisor John W. Moran and PHF quality improvement expert Brynn Riley, this tool helps focus improvement team discussions and builds consensus on the best solutions to pursue.
