Public Health Foundation and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services (OSELS) are now accepting applications for the E-Learning Institute. This pilot of the E-Learning Institute will “focus on empowering a pilot group of 8 to 10 education and training staff in state, tribal, local, and territorial (STLT) health departments with the tools and resources needed to efficiently and effectively develop online training modules that can be added to CDC-TRAIN.” This E-Learning Institute will consist of virtual workshops and a follow-up in-person workshop that will take place in Atlanta, GA in late summer. Potential attendees can submit their application through TRAIN. Successful applicants will be notified of their selection by March 15, 2013.
E-Learning Institute participants will be paired with a mentor/coach from CDC and/or its consultants. This will help foster a learning relationship between those who may be more knowledgeable in developing training and those participants who may have room for development in areas where participants would like to grow. After participating in the E-Learning Institute, it is expected that participants will be better equipped with the tools and knowledge to create high-quality training that could be utilized both nationally and locally.
If you are interested in applying to participate in the E-Learning Institute please complete the application through TRAIN by no later than March 1, 2013. If you have questions about this opportunity, please contact the [email protected] inbox.
