Draft Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals Open for Comment
 
A preliminary draft of proposed revisions to the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) is now available for open comment. This preliminary draft aims to address feedback from the public health and population health community related to the concepts included in the Core Competencies to ensure that the Core Competencies keep pace with changes in the field of public health, as well as to offer proposed changes to the structure of the competency set designed to make the Core Competencies easier to use. 

Feedback on this preliminary draft is welcome and will help to further refine the revisions to the Core Competencies. Feedback may be shared in a variety of ways, including online or by email to [email protected]. 2021 NACCHO 360 Conference to Highlight Competencies and AHD Partnerships
 
Attending this year’s virtual National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) 360 Conference? Mark your calendar for live sessions focused on academic health department partnerships in the time of COVID-19 and aligning quality improvement efforts with the Core Competencies for Performance Improvement Professionals in Public Health. In addition, an on demand session will feature a crosswalk mapping the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals and Competencies for Population Health Professionals to the Strategic Skills for the Governmental Public Health Workforce.
