TRAIN Partners with HRSA to Develop Unified Health Communication Online Training

An innovative partnership between PHF and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has led to the development of an online training focusing on cross-cultural communication - Unified Health Communication (UHC). This course aims to improve provider-receiver relationships and ensure effective communication by building skills in health literacy, cultural competency, and limited English proficiency.

UHC is deployed through TRAIN (https://www.train.org) PHF's web-based learning management network developed in 2003 in response to state requests for training that would efficiently prepare the public health workforce. Over 16,000 professionals, including future public health and medical leaders studying toward their respective degrees and current professionals seeking to renew licensures, have already registered for UHC. Register on TRAIN and access Course ID 1010510 (or search by keyword "Unified Health Communication") to take the course today!
