Developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases and distributed exclusively by PHF, this edition provides updated immunization and vaccine information to public health practitioners, healthcare providers, health educators, pharmacists, nurses, and others involved in administering immunizations. Veterans Health Administration TRAIN Portal Launches
 PHF welcomes the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) as the newest member of the TRAIN network. VHA joins 25 states and three other federal agencies that collaborate to build workforce capacity by providing training opportunities to more than 900,000 public health and health care professionals. Join other community health providers and public health professionals caring for Veterans on VHA TRAIN.

2014 Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals Integrated into TRAIN
 The revised Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) released by the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) in June 2014 are now fully integrated into TRAIN, the nation's premier learning management network for professionals who protect the public's health. Tackling Risks Associated with Diabetes Using a Population Health Driver Diagram
 PHF, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is developing and using a population health driver diagram framework to address prevention, control, treatment and reduction of severe complications associated with diabetes. The driver diagram can be used in communities to help achieve health objectives at the crossroads of public health and health care. Find out where this new Diabetes Population Health Driver Diagram will be used to achieve greater health equity and improve the value of community health investments.

PHF, ACHI Exploring Population Health Competencies
 What do public health and health care professionals have in common? Are there skills that are essential for success in both areas? Early in March, staff from PHF set out to answer these questions with a special forum on Aligning Public Health and Health Care - Core Competencies for Population Health Professionals during the 2015 National Conference of the Association for Community Health Improvement (ACHI). Participants identified that the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) are also highly applicable to heath care professionals. What do you think? Online Guide Provides Access to Expert-Developed Strategies for Enhancing Training
 To support the ongoing training of public health professionals, the Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) has developed an online resource focused on enhancing public health training efforts. The Guide to Improving and Measuring the Impact of Training aims to help training institutions and programs, sponsors of training, trainers, and public health organizations interested in improving and measuring the impact of their training efforts navigate the training process. Explore this free guide and find ways to suggest additional resources.

Deciphering the Performance Management Imperative
 In an article that appeared in the Annual Review of Public Health entitled "Deciphering the Imperative: Translating Public Health Quality Improvement into Organizational Performance Management Gains," PHF experts Les Beitsch and Jack Moran, and Tulane University public health professor Valerie Yeager, describe the logical connection between quality improvement practices and broader organizational performance management.
