The Public Health Foundation’s (PHF)
Learning Resource Center (LRC) is pleased to announce that the newest edition of it’s bestselling text,
Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases, also known as the “Pink Book,” will soon be available as an e-book.
Through ongoing customer feedback, PHF learned that there is significant interest in the public health community to download public health training materials in various e-book formats. PHF recognizes that technology continues to advance the field of public health and that healthcare professionals are looking for ways to quickly access pertinent information from anywhere at anytime. Availability of the Pink Book in e-book format on a wide variety of host sites will make this resource compatible with a broad range of handheld devices and utilizable by many public health personnel.
The Pink Book in e-book format will be available for purchase online at

Barnes & Noble, and
Google’s eBookstore, which will permit users to download the complete 12th Edition onto their Amazon Kindle; Android phone or tablet; Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch; Sony Reader; Barnes & Noble Nook; or through their web browser.
In addition to being portable, the Pink Book in e-book format will be accessible immediately after purchase, which will allow readers to get the most up-to-date vaccination information when they need it. The e-book will also have a search feature, which will make finding relevant information about vaccine-preventable diseases easy.
