Published on the Public Health Foundation (PHF) website in April 2011, Applications and Tools for Creating and Sustaining Healthy Teams is designed as a guide to help organizations optimize the use of teams. Primarily a collection of papers and essays previously published elsewhere, this book is ideal for organizations that have had marginal success with teams or are exploring how to launch successful teams. The authors, Grace Duffy and PHF Senior Quality Advisor John W. Moran, have been involved with over a thousand teams as sponsors, team leaders, and facilitators. Other authors were invited to provide their perspectives on what works to create high-performing teams which are successfully using problem-solving tools in a healthcare or public health environment.
PHF offers customized technical assistance and training on Developing High-performance Teams, as well as a free online Teams Toolbox to support effective team formation and operations.
