The
Solvability and Control Matrix is a tool that presents a guided process to explore and assess process problems, in order to determine what can be easily solved, and which problems might rise to the level of a QI project. When struggling with a process problem, program staff can determine next steps by exploring the solvability and control of the problem. Developed by Public Health Foundation (PHF) Senior Quality Advisor
Jack Moran and Performance Improvement Specialist Julie Sharp, the Solvability and Control Matrix can be useful for performance improvement professionals in guiding program staff toward increased use of QI.
