The Public Health Foundation (PHF) offers on-site and remote consulting services to assist local and state health departments in interpreting and working with the Foundational Public Health Services (FPHS) framework and calculator tools.
PHF’s Workforce Capacity Assessment and Gap Analysis will assist your health department in conducting an in-depth assessment of your current workforce capacity, needs, and gaps to deliver the FPHS in your community. PHF will lead your health department through an analysis to identify gaps in minimal capacity needed to effectively deliver the FPHS, as well as an analysis of the capacity needed to provide additional services (not considered “foundational”) required of your health department according to its unique roles, responsibilities, programs, and community-specific services. PHF will work with your health department to determine ‘what’s next’ when using the outcome of the calculator and determine a prioritization process for implementing a plan going beyond the FPHS
