The Council on Linkages Between Academia and Public Health Practice (Council on Linkages) convened for a virtual meeting on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. This meeting included updates on activities related to the Academic Health Department Learning Community and the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention joined the meeting to discuss the Public Health Associate Program; ​The Kresge Foundation's Senior Fellow - Health, Phyllis Meadows, PhD, discussed the Emerging Leaders in Public Health initiative; and Hugh Tilson, MD, DrPH, MPH, former Council on Linkages member, led a discussion about the role of the Council on Linkages in advocating for the public health workforce. All meeting materials are available as a single PDF file, or individually from the agenda below.
