Council on Linkages Update
July 2021

Greetings!

Below is a Council on Linkages Update for July 2021. Please feel free to share any or all of these opportunities in your organization's newsletter or other communications.

Share Your Feedback on Draft Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals by August 15th

Your help is needed to ensure the Core Competencies for Public Health Professionals (Core Competencies) continue to reflect the reality of working in public health and meet the needs of the public health workforce. A preliminary draft of proposed revisions to the Core Competencies is currently available for open comment. This preliminary draft aims to address feedback from the public health and population health community related to the concepts included in the Core Competencies, as well as to offer proposed changes to the structure of the competency set to make the Core Competencies easier to use.

Share your thoughts on this preliminary draft online or by email to competencies@phf.org, or join us for a town hall meeting discussion on July 28, 2021 from 12-1pm EDT. Feedback is welcome through August 15, 2021, and questions may be sent to Kathleen Amos at kamos@phf.org.
